'Physical: 100 Season 2 - Underground' FINAL QUEST WINNER
Only the Final Quest remains to determine the winner. In the Final Quest, the Top 4 contestants, Amotti, Hong Beom Seok, Andre Jin, and Justin Harvey, compete in a fierce battle to become the sole survivor 1/100. The Final Quest consists of three rounds: Protect Your Torso, Infinite Squats, and Pole Push. After each round, one contestant gets eliminated until the last person standing.
FINAL QUEST: ROUND 1 - PROTECT YOUR TORSO RESULTS
The game for the first round of the Final Quest is Protect Your Torso. The four contestants must hold onto the rope connected to their torsos and hold out to the end. The weight of the torso they must hold up is 40% of their body weight. The first person who fails to hold on to their torso and drops it will be eliminated. The remaining three contestants advance to the next round.
Justin's tactic was to lean as far back as possible to pull on the rope using his body weight. Andre used one arm predominantly over the other, so that he could switch back and forth as needed to allow one arm to rest. Amotti's strategy was to retain strength by using a hook grip to take the stress off of the forearms. Hong Beom Seok also tried not to use his forearms too much by straightening out his arms and using his body weight to assist him.
This was truly a battle against themselves, and as time went on, their grip was weakening... The first person who could not protect his torso was Justin Harvey.
ELIMINATION: JUSTIN HARVEY (ACTOR)
In the last interview, Justin said, "Physical: 100 is no joke. It's so hard and demanding. But that made it all the more fun. I'm not satisfied with being in fourth place, but I'm still very thankful for the experience."
The survivors of Final Quest: Round 1 are Amotti, Hong Beom Seok, and Andre Jin.
FINAL QUEST: ROUND 2 - INFINITE SQUATS RESULTS
The game for the second round of the Final Quest is Infinite Squats. The contestants must do a squat at the sound of the whistle with increased weight for each set. The first contestant who fails to keep pace with the signal of the whistle, or fails to withstand the weight will be eliminated. The two survivors advance to the final round.
The first set was like a warm-up. But as the weight and reps increased, the infinite squats gradually became more difficult. Due to his taller height, Andre begins to struggle and falls behind. By the third set, Andre had already exceeded his limits, but managed to push through with sheer willpower to finish the set. After the fourth weight increase, he was done. Andre could no longer withstand the weight, and the game was over.
ELIMINATION: ANDRE JIN (NATIONAL TEAM RUGBY PLAYER)
"This is it for me, but I have no regrets. It was a new challenge for me. It was a test to see how far I could go when things got rough. It was a chance to test my limits," Andre said. "I'm proud of myself and happy with third place. I did my best, and I competed alongside wonderful people. Physical: 100, awesome."
The survivors of Final Quest: Round 2 are Amotti and Hong Beom Seok.
FINAL QUEST: FINAL ROUND - POLE PUSH RESULTS
Only two contestants remain. The Final Quest to determine the last physique standing is Pole Push. The two contestants stand at each end of a massive pole and compete against each other. They will push the pole at the same time, and the contestant who knocks over the post first wins. The game is the best of three rounds. The contestant who secures two wins first will be the final winner.
The first match was neck and neck, as the pole would not budge. Both are exhausted as the time surpasses the 20-minute mark. Hong Beom Seok saw an opening when Amotti relaxed a bit, and pushed with everything he had. Amotti did everything in his power to resist, but kept getting pushed back little by little. After a long battle, the winner of the first match was Hong Beom Seok.
If Amotti loses, it will be over. Desperate for the win, Amotti goes all in and pushes with all his might using his shoulder. He gains an advantage when the pole is slanted. Hong Beom Seok is unable to lower the pole to be able to use his strength to push. Then the right time came for Amotti to push, and Hong Beom Seok lost control of the pole. This time, the match ends in 5 minutes. The winner of the second match was Amotti.
The start is important in the final match. Amotti lowers his body to push really hard at the sound of the whistle. As the pole slants upwards, Hong Beom Seok lost balance and fell down. The third and final match ends in a flash. Amotti knocked down the post, and the game was over.
ELIMINATION: HONG BEOM SEOK (FORMER FIREFIGHTER)
After his early elimination in Season 1, Hong Beom Seok was afraid to take on the challenge again when contacted for Season 2, but accepted thanks to the support of his wife and kids. "Honestly, I'm quite disappointed, but I have no regrets," he said. "Thanks to Physical: 100, I had a great experience and made a lot of good memories. I will continue to live without fear of failure, and I'll keep challenging myself."
