Heart Signal 2's former "some" couple Kim Jang Mi & Kim Do Kyun chat honestly over drinks to resolve past misunderstandings on Friends Episode 4.

A special delivery arrives at Jangmi's house. "Daebak!" she says excitedly after unboxing the toy capsule vending machine. Before picking, she mentioned Kim Hyun Woo as a friend she wanted to meet. Curious to know "how much he's changed," she says. "Been MIA for too long now." She finally turns the knob to draw a capsule and shakes it for good luck. "$1000, please!" After taking a peek of the name, she throws the capsule in disappointment... Full of doubt, she checks if they are all the same. Indeed all different.
A hint is given about the friend. During the interview, she says, "Can't I meet someone new? Ah, jinjja..." Sounds like someone from the same season who she is already close with...
*dugeun dugeun* Who Is the Friend?
Finally, "Friend-some Day" arrives! Unlike cries from the other night, Jangmi is walking with light steps while on the way. An anonymous text message was sent out to the friend who was picked with only details of the meet-up time and location. Not a new friend like she had hoped, the guy waiting is Heart Signal 2's Kim Do Kyun!
Jangmi walks up behind him and says hello. "Oh! I think I know you," he says. "Aren't you Sylvia Kim?" Laughter erupts. "Long time no see~" he says. Despite wearing face masks, he can easily tell who she is from just the eyes. Seunghee is surprised by how comfortable they are with each other. Been 6 months since they have last met, but no hint of awkwardness at all.
Jangmi gently reveals picking a $10 allowance for the day. Dokyun is flustered, "$10...? What do we do?" She asks him to follow along, as there is a plan. "Why did you pick $10?" he teases.
Sharing Chestnuts, First Meeting in 6 Months
In the car, on the way to the first location. Jangmi offers Dokyun the roasted chestnuts she made at home. He sweetly remembers how she is a fan of nuts. But teases, "You're like a squirrel~" so she jokingly glares in response. She has a hard time trying to peel the chestnuts and hands over the tiniest hard-earned piece. "What is this?" he asks before joking about how he won't even feel it in his stomach. After eating it, "Mmm~ Jangmi-ah, it's not cooked at all. It's crunchy." She ends up bursting into laughter. Sangmin sees how Dokyun is more relaxed now as time passed. "He's completely different from when he was on Heart Signal."
Deluxe $1.50 Bowl of Jajangmyeon
As the two arrive at a $1.50 jajangmyeon restaurant, the MCs shout in amazement with the low price. Wow, so cheap! They order 2 bowls, and pay with the one green bill they have for the day. Dokyun jokes about how they are rich now, receiving three bills in return. Even with a meal, they still have $7 left. The noodles are freshly made and boiled on the spot. The black bean sauce is also cooked upon order. Unbelievable to get this quality of food at only $1.50 nowadays.
The noodles are served, quite a big portion despite the price. "Oppa, close your eyes," she says. "Why... why should I?" he asks. "You're not..." She urges him to just close his eyes. He listens, "I did... I think I'm going to cry." As expected, she gives him more noodles from her bowl. "Why am I so happy about this?" he says with a thankful heart. Kim Do Kyun in His Element
On the way to the next location, Jangmi sees a waffle shop and really wants to eat it. She sticks her head through the railing to check the price, "It's $3.50!" Q. When was the last time you've been to an arcade?
Jangmi says, "It was when I went to the movies with [Dokyun] oppa." There was an arcade there as she recalls how he wanted to win a stuffed animal from the crane machine. "We spent almost $10, but he failed," she says. "I don't remember," he says with a smile, feigning ignorance.
After carefully checking the prices of the games, they decide on the dancing game "Pump It Up!" Old scenes are shown of popping Dokyun at the Signal House. Full of rhythm! The song choice is "Black Cat" by Turbo. The proper "Pump" stance is down. Let's go! Dokyun easily hits perfect combos, while Jangmi dances cutely to the music. Perfect combo over a hundred! Selling Used Items for More Pocket Money
Back in the car, on the road again. Dokyun says, "I had a lot of fun thanks to Jangmi. I felt young again." She gives him the address to the next place. An "untact" transactions service for second-hand goods. Prior to the meet-up, she placed the items in the drop-off boxes. "If it's sold, our course could be totally different... But they haven't sold yet..." she says. So the plan is to stall for time...
A Picturesque Winter Dumulmeori Date
Nearing the destination, Jangmi tells Dokyun to check out the beautiful scenery to his left. "Like a painting," she says. "A winter lake," he says with a smile. They arrive at Dumulmeori, a scenic spot where two rivers meet. Right on time for the sunset! The weather is cold and windy, but the view is spectacular. So beautiful!
Dokyun diligently helps takes photos for Jangmi. The photos came out really well. "Ooh~ Totally love it," she says, bouncing in happiness. Sangmin says, "Out of the couples we've seen so far, they are the best match." A naturalness with each other. After taking photos of him next, the two take photos together. Making lasting memories as true friends.

"It sold, huh?!" She nods in happiness. "Sajangnim... How much did you make?" he giddily asks. A bit earlier, a person showed up in front of the sales boxes. The jacket, candles, and cosmetics sold. She tells him that a jacket sold... For $40! "WOW!" he says excitedly. "WOW-ffles! Let's go eat waffles!" She cutely repeats "wow-ffles" too. "It really was worth the effort," she says. A huge sigh of relief. In total, they have $50 now. "We're rich," he says. "I'm excited!!!" she shouts.
Let's Have a Drink
Nighttime arrives. Jangmi and Dokyun arrive at an indoor pocha (a cart bar). A place with a nice atmosphere. As he suddenly recalls, they have been to a pocha together before. "That's why the two have so many memories," says Shindong. 3 years ago on Heart Signal 2, they had drinks at a pocha on the final date. Back then, she said, "The alcohol tastes sweet." She chose this place as a way to remember that time. "At the time, we were a 'some' couple. But now, we're oppa and dongsaeng," she says. The way she looks at him. Omo~ Seunghee says, "It feels weird... Like a drama."
Dokyun adds a shot of soju into a glass of beer and taps the bottom of the glass with a spoon. A properly mixed somaek! Jangmi is highly satisfied, and praises him for a job well done.
