Pink Lie: Episode 1 Recap - Everyone Has a Lie

Disney Plus original series, Pink Lie, is a love/lie reality dating show between young men and women who are looking for unconditional love. Each participant is allowed a single lie to hide their most hidden secrets. Will their feelings remain unchanged after learning the truth?

Episode 1. Everyone Has a Lie

For the participants who have gathered to love unconditionally, it is possible here at the 'Pink House!' Each person is allowed to carry one lie, a 'Pink Lie.' What will they hide? And... All of their lies will be revealed later. Will they still continue to love each other without prejudice?

Seo Hanui's Pink Lie

Seo Hanui's secret is revealed to the viewers. Up until 5 years ago, she had been working as an adult actress. Not what she wanted as a rookie actress, but it did bring her fame. Now she has started a new life running a candle workshop, but has avoided dating for the past 6 years in fear of being recognized. "I wanted to hide from everyone. That is how I lived for the past 6 years," she says. "I'm curious if there's anyone who's willing to love me for just who I am."

First Meeting at the Pink House

The residents with a lie arrive at the 'Pink House' one by one. For anonymity, they are using fake names. Here are the cast members in order of arrival:

• Park Hangyeol
• Seo Hanui
• Mo Chansol
• Han Bareum
• Han Daon
• Hong Hanu
• Kang Dahae

Upon first impression, Chansol is the most attracted to Daon but is also curious about Dahae who was the group ice breaker. Hangyeol is also attracted by Dahae's outgoing and cheerful personality. For Hanu, Daon was the one who caught his eye. And Bareum who usually goes for women who are calm and quiet is attracted to Hanui.

After a tour of the house, they split up to handle the chores. Bareum, Hanui and Hangyeol go out for groceries, while the rest stay at the house. Later, they prepare dinner together. Daon's gaze is noticeably on Hangyeol. While Chansol and Dahae show off nice chemistry with their 'tiki-taka' banter. They have dinner in the living room and toast to an exciting first meeting!

Meet the Cast Members of Pink Lie

Han Bareum (33)

Bareum is a senior researcher at Samsung Electronics Future Technology and his hometown is Jeju Island.

Han Daon (31)

Daon worked as a marketer at a beauty company, but recently changed companies. She is a homebody who enjoys staying home to watch movies and listen to music. Her MBTI is ENFP. And her ideal type is someone who has the personality of a large dog.

Kang Dahae (26)

As someone who has always been interested in fashion, Dahae majored in it and is currently an intern at a fashion company. Her ideal type is a puppy-face (cute guy) with a hot body. "A real hot body!" Chansol thinks none of them there fits, but Heechul says that is not true!

Mo Chansol (29)

Chansol is an elementary school PE teacher. Dahae had already noticed his muscles earlier when he was wearing the black tee. His ideal type is someone who he clicks with, pretty, and exudes a certain mood. Dahae asks him to elaborate on what he means by 'mood.' He says, "Someone who's sexy when others are around, but who relies on me more when it's just us two. Someone who becomes adorable in private."

Seo Hanui (36)

As revealed in the introduction, Hanui is currently a candle maker who is operating a candle workshop for the past 6 years. She is looking for a serious and sincere relationship, and her ideal type is someone who shares a similar sense of humor.

Hong Hanu (32)

Hanu is the CEO of a Hallyu entertainment company. He was active as an idol in Japan for 8 years, and used the connections he made to start his own company. His ideal type is women with a beautiful smile. He is originally from Gangwon-do and his MBTI is ENFP.

Park Hangyeol (25)

Hangyeol is the maknae, and turns out to be a young CEO of a wedding photography studio. He brought along his camera and drone to help record their memories. But RalRal points out from his work footage how it feels like he has never held a camera before...

As their jobs and age could be a lie, things will only get more complicated later... What is true and what is a lie? Will developed feelings change after learning the secrets?

The Pink Moon Rises

While having drinks, they hear a mysterious sound... the 'Pink Moon' appeared outside! They excitedly run outside to read the card: You find out someone's lie in the 'Room of Truth.' Ooh!

Daon is the first person who can enter the 'Room of Truth' and learn of someone's secret! On the instructions, she is asked to say the name of the person who she wants to know the truth about... And she chooses Hangyeol!

A video starts playing... Hangyeol says, "I am..." And the closing theme music starts while the ending credits roll... His secret is not disclosed to the viewers...
