Episode 6 - Hide Your Lies Well, Lest They Be Sought

Hiking Date: Chansol & Dahae
Although Taeyang sent the pair on a hiking date, they are all smiles to see each other. Dahae struggles on the semi-hike, but the open view of Seoul is well worth the effort. While admiring the scenery together, Chansol talks about his big dreams including marriage. But she has not thought about it yet, and feels she is still too immature to get married...

After the hike, they sit down to enjoy delicious makgeolli. Then while trying to test each other, the what-if game begins. What if he was jobless or only works part-time? While she would be okay with dating him, "Marriage is a reality," she says. And carefully hints at the truth. That all a guy needs is money to be able to hang out with her. If a date with her would cost more than his salary, realistically it would be burdensome... Although there are some obstacles between them, they are already in a world of their own. Enjoying the time together~
The Pink Moon Rises
Once everyone returns from their dates, the 'Pink Moon' rises with a new message... Time to convey their feelings, but the instructions are different today... No longer just about who gave them heart flutters, it is about who they 'like' now~
Chansol ↔ Dahae
On the 5th night, the two confirm their feelings for each other once again. But will they still be able to like each other after the truth is revealed? She does not know his secret yet and can't help but think about it...
Hanui ↔ Hanu
While Hanui hoped he sent the text because he likes her, Hanu revealed that he simply didn't want to ruin her mood at the end of her birthday. "I didn't have feelings for her as someone of the opposite sex," he said. A text to each other, but with very different meanings...
Hangyeol said, "Rather than seeing Haneul as a woman, I'd like to become good friends with her like a younger sister." Hmm... A dongsaeng?! Isn't he supposedly younger than her?? His heart is currently pointed towards Seulbi who is closest to his ideal type.
Taeyang ↔ Daon
After a heart-fluttering first date, the two confirm their interest in one another~
A Complicated Night
As Daon is about to head to bed, she overhears Hanu talking on the phone in his room when grabbing her charger. And of course she stays to eavesdrop! "I'm not sure, but she's a bit like a fox..." he says over the phone. "Because I saw that side of her, I realized that I may have to think about it some more... I feel like I'm back at zero again." A sigh as she walks away... She has trouble sleeping after hearing such unexpected words... While Hanu is also in a dilemma himself, drinking beer alone in the dark...
Pink Moon's Random Date
The 'Pink Moon' rises early in the morning on the 6th day to choose their fates today. A heart fluttering random date to shake up the current love lines! Who will be paired up?
Daon is concerned about Taeyang being matched with Haneul, who is close to his ideal type. Hanu feels Taeyang is a bit sly and is wary of him. But Taeyang is not concerned about Hanu at all... Haha...
As couples leave for their dates, Dahae stays behind waiting for Bareum to return. She chats with Taeyang who has not departed yet. "I've seen you before..." she says. Which leaves him looking flustered... She recognized him, but did not tell anyone. Not even production staff. So does this mean she knows his secret??
As Heechul deduces there is a hint in their pseudonyms. What could Taeyang refer to? Does Hangyeol really mean 'married once' (ν λ²μ κ²°νΌ)...?
Hanui & Chansol Date
Chansol uses his own car today, which is a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon. That is one expensive car! So is he pretty well-off too...? He gets a call about his food arriving. Turns out he ordered fried chicken for Dahae who will be at home alone for most of the day. So sweet~
Bringing up the lies, he is curious about everyone's secret. But believes his thoughts on them will not change after finding out. For Hanui the most important thing is to be understood once others find out. She feels Hanu would not be fazed or offended by her secret. "He's someone that I need," she says. "I need him. Simply put, I want him."
π Daehak-ro λνλ‘
Arriving at Daehak-ro, Seoul's theater and performing arts district, they enjoy watching a play together. Like friends who can confide in each other.
Hanu & Seulbi Date
π Gapyeong Sheep Farm κ°ν μλΌ λͺ©μ₯
Hanu planned a date at a sheep farm, but Seulbi says she has not been to a lot of places like this. He says he has not either. She holds back her laugh feigning ignorance, but she already checked his secret last night. While trying to feed the sheep, she is scared... And he naturally blocks and shoos them away for her. Obviously very comfortable with farm animals!
Later, they sit down at the cafe to talk. She asks if he has been in the 'Room of Truth' yet, but he shakes his head. Rather than find out, he only wants to get to know a person for who they are. He confidently bets no one can figure out his secret, and tells her to guess. Holding back her laughter, she plays along guessing it may have something to do with cows... Not knowing she already knows the truth, he panics and tries to remain calm... LOL...
After the date, Seulbi said, "I feel closer to him. Hanu is my first pick, then it's Bareum." Hanu felt, "So nothing really changed... I thought that this date could be our last."
Taeyang & Haneul Date
A date with two people who spent 3 days together in the 'Hidden Room'... Taeyang brings up the various signals for how one can tell if a person is interested in you. Unseen scenes of the two in the basement reveals they had been showing interest in each other without knowing... From covering their mouths and smiling to even mirroring each other!
π Gangnam κ°λ¨
Thanks to Haneul, Taeyang shows his true self. Feeling at ease, he is rather cute and playful with her. The only one who has seen this side of him. They did not have much chance to talk privately in the basement so he wanted to talk with her more. "I was also curious about you. I wanted to chat with you, too," she says. Chuckling~
After eating, they take a stroll to enjoy the sunny weather. He asks if she has ever taken care of a pet before. She has not. As for what she has taken care of, she says, "people...?" Joking or could she really be a mother? Hmm... He continues to joke around making her laugh. "The sky is pretty. Haneul (sky) is pretty," he says. So cheesy! But she likes it and plays along with him, "The sun (Taeyang) is blinding." And he replies, "The sun must like the sky."
Kang Taeyang's Pink Lie
What is the secret that he has been keeping? "I'm a performer at X-rated shows for women." Video plays of him stripping down and dancing to loud cheers... gasp... shocking...
"Despite not watching the show, many were quite prejudiced about it. I wanted to break that prejudice," he said. "In a way, I think these shows are artistic as well." Although it was not an easy decision to make, he wanted to do it, if that is what it takes to accomplish his dream.
He hopes to meet someone who can look at him without prejudice. "If such a woman exists... I'd be deeply moved," he said. "I would really like to give her my all."
And the one who confirmed his secret is... Haneul! After the date, she is shocked to learn of his truth... shook... Will she be able to continue to see him for who he is without prejudice?
