Episode 5 - Starting Over
On the 5th day, the 'Pink Moon' rises early in the morning with a new message: 'There will be one-on-one dates that were paired up by the new member, Kang Taeyang.' As the latecomer, he is given a privilege to pick his first date and secretly match up everyone else for a themed date today. Let's find out who he paired up!
Retro Date: Hanu & Hanui
π Ikseon Jutaek Cafe μ΅μ μ£Όν, Ikseon-dong Hanok Village
Hanu waits at a hanok not knowing who his date will be today. Hanui arrives and is all smiles to see him, but he cannot hide his look of disappointment... Happy to be finally on a date with him, she easily bursts into laughter at everything he says. Not hiding her interest, she directly tells him she wanted to ask him out. But he is flustered and feeling pressured by how forward she is being...
Switching up the conversation, he asks why she is so worried about others finding out her lie. As her lie has adversely affected and changed her life, she has become a negative person. "I need someone who can remind me that it's nothing and not a big deal," she says. He sweetly comforts her, not knowing what her lie is, "You've been through a lot." Words she wanted and needed to hear, she gets emotional... As Heechul says, "She's going to totally fall for him."
He excuses himself to use the restroom, but heads to a flower shop instead, and returns with a bouquet of flowers. A small token to comfort her, 'Thanks for the good day!' Taken aback by the gift, she is truly moved, and smiling from ear to ear. Her feelings for him deepen~
Hipster Date: Bareum & Seulbi

Bareum spots Seulbi from afar and cannot hide his excitement. The one he has been hoping to go on a date with. But so nervous, he is not functioning properly. Treating this more like an interview, he asks what her biggest struggle in life was. The two end up having a serious talk about past struggles and failures. Without revealing his secret, he hints how he had a reason why he diligently studied for over 20 years despite hating it.

Next, they head to a Vietnamese restaurant for dinner. She asks if he has time to date, and if his girlfriend is a freelancer who needs to work on the weekends. Not an option for him since having similar routines is his top priority. Talking about travel, he reveals he is very close with his mother and always wants to take her to nice places.
After the date, she said, "I could sense that he felt a great sense of responsibility as the man of the house." And is spot on guessing that his secret has something to do with his family. As he is responsible and is a great son, it is not something she would be against.
Deoksugung Stonewall Walkway Date: Hangyeol & Haneul
Hangyeol arrives and chuckles upon seeing Haneul, as she is one of the persons he wanted to become close with. Off to a good start, the two are happy about their date partner.
π Seochon Wine Bar, Jebunso μμ΄ μμΈλ° μ λΆμ
They head to a pretty neighborhood, Seochon, west of the Gyeongbokgung Palace. Enjoying a fancy lunch of sea urchin roe pasta and duck steak at a wine mill. He notices how quiet she is and tries to lead the date. Both tend to not talk much when in a group and does not usually initiate conversation. But as they are similar, they can empathize, and feel more at ease.
Luxury Date: Taeyang & Daon
Taeyang waits nervously in front of the crosswalk... A taxi arrives at the other end. His date of choice is Daon! Hearts are fluttering just looking at each other~ They walk toward each other meeting halfway at the crosswalk. Are they filming a romantic K-drama or what?!
π Cheongdam Hanwoo Omakase, Beflique λΉν리λ
A luxury date at a private fine dining restaurant, so fancy! She loves it and is quite impressed by his choice. To ease the awkwardness, she asks, "Can I call you oppa?" Got him blushing~ As for why he chose her, "I'm curious about the type of person you are. This could be my one and only chance at finding out," he says. "But, this may not be your last chance," she replies. Sharing personal stories, their feelings grow as they get to know one another.
π Whisky & Cocktail Bar, MIXOLOGY λ―Ήμλ‘μ§
He suggests going to play VR games next, but she says, "But I want to look at you and chat." Her flirt game is strong~ So he takes her to his favorite bar instead where they can talk more face-to-face. Sitting at the bar, she orders a Balvenie neat. The type who knows exactly what her taste is. "If I meet someone I really like, I don't think twice," she says. Mesmerized by her Barbie doll-like looks and discovering her charms, he is falling head over heels for her. As for how she would rate today's date, "It was excellent~" she says.
A War of Nerves at the Pink House
The couples gradually return to the house after the dates. An urgent family situation came up for Bareum so he needs to leave for the night. Meanwhile, Seulbi seems to have her eyes on Hanu trying to get close. Hanui, who was excitedly skipping around, is bothered by them... At the table, Hanui boasts about receiving flowers today... and Seulbi's glance... OMG, this is so nerve-racking! Those side-eyes trying to keep each other in check... Then the mood changes again when Hanu gets a bit flirty with Haneul when she returns... Tense...
Hong Hanu's Pink Lie
Seulbi is chosen to enter the 'Room of Truth' tonight to find out someone's secret... She picks Hanu! The second person to pick him after Hanui... What is his secret?
"My name is Hong Hanu, and I'll be inheriting my father's cow farm in Hoengseong." Heechul kneels down with an apology, thinking he worked at a host bar in Japan... Confused by Hanui who said their secrets were similar, the MCs are shook by the reveal!
Worried about how others would perceive him, not many people know he has returned home to help manage the cow farm with his father. After spending 8 years in an idol group, he tried starting his own business, but things did not pan out. "They'd think I had failed. They'd think I had no choice but to ask my parents for help," he said. "I was afraid they'd think that way."
Since there tends to be a prejudice against those who work in the livestock industry, he does not tell strangers he is from Hoengseong. "I just want them to see me for who I am," he said. "I'll only tell a woman about this if I'm sure that she likes me. If she's okay with it, I think I'll be able to open up to her more."
"It was an unexpected secret," she said after learning about Hanu. "In a way, that occupation requires diligence and responsibilities... It was definitely surprising, but in a good way." Looks like his secret is not a dealbreaker for Seulbi. Will she continue to go toward Hanu?
