'Physical: 100 Season 2' Quest 1: One-on-One Death Match Winners

For Physical: 100 Season 2 Quest 1, the signature game from last season, One-on-One Death Match, returns. The rules remain the same. For 3 minutes, two contestants compete to take possession of a ball. The sole person holding onto the ball after the time limit is up will advance to the next quest. The contestant who loses must smash their own torso and is eliminated. And to make things more exciting, a new arena has been added for Season 2. The death matches unfold across three different arenas: Arena A, a playground filled with obstacles, Arena B, a shallow mud pool, and Arena C, a UFC Octagon fighting cage. 'Physical: 100 Season 2' QUEST 1: One-on-One Death Match

The privilege earned in the pre-quest mission is the ability to select an opponent and an arena of choice, starting from first place down. As the winner of the pre-quest mission, Hong Beom Seok, earned first pick with a tough decision to make. Pride was on the line as he suffered a humiliating defeat in the death match during Season 1, and wanted to redeem himself this time with a win. He selected idol singer Lee Jang Jun, who looked like an easy opponent due to his smaller physique. But Lee Jang Jun was not to be taken lightly, as he put up an incredible fight with his unexpected speed, strength, and stamina. The match was neck-and-neck, but ended in Hong Beom Seok's victory.

Another notable match is MMA Fighter Sim Yu Ri, who chose to go up against a strong male opponent by selecting FBI Diplomat Hunter Lee. Fellow contestants thought it would be impossible for her to win due to a noticeable difference in weight class of about 20 to 25 kg. But Sim Yu Ri showed incredible skills, core strength, and tenacity by holding onto the ball. It all comes down to willpower, and she never lost the ball. Proving why she is a Road FC Atomweight champion.

In the death match between former UFC Fighter Kim Dong Hyun and Fitness Model Emmanuel, strength and power clashed. Emmanuel had control of the ball for most of the match with his pure strength despite Kim Dong Hyun's techniques. It was a thrilling match in the cage that went down to the wire, ending in Kim Dong Hyun's come-from-behind victory in the final 15 seconds.

And never underestimate an opponent due to their small size. The death match between Wushu Sanda Fighter Kim Hye Bin (157cm) and Weightlifter Kim Dam Bi (151.8cm) went into double overtime. A brutal match between two small giants, but the tinier Kim Dam Bi pulled off the win. It came down to who had the very last bit of strength left.
