Youngsoo's hobbies are studying math and learning languages, including English and Japanese, and recently got into learning Chinese. His ideal type is someone who is kind and considerate. When it comes to looks, he used to say the prettier, the better. But if you ask him to choose between looks and personality now, he chooses personality.
Youngho's ideal type has nothing to do with looks. Though it would be nice if she was pretty, personality is way more important to him. He would rather meet someone he can enjoy the little things in life with.
Youngsik spent most of his life living in the Philippines. Influenced by his father, who was one of Korea's first-generation race car drivers in the 1980s, he has also expanded his racing career from Formula to rallycross. And is also currently running a track driving experience program with some friends in the Philippines. As an introvert, his ideal type is someone more outgoing and has some depth. Something he dreams of doing with his future partner is to go on road trips on famous driving routes around the world. He is looking for a co-driver to go along with him.
Youngchul's ideal type is someone with physical, mental, and emotional strength. He would like someone who takes care of herself and knows how to love herself. And as he has adopted cats that his coworker rescued, he would love for his future partner to be someone who can accept his cats as part of the family too.
Gaming used to be his biggest hobby, but Kwangsoo had a sudden wake-up call and deleted his account. Going to PC cafés on dates used to be a dream of his, but that ship has sailed. Although he may not look like it, he does make an effort to go to the gym to work out, and also plays on the soccer team. And is planning on starting kickboxing too.
When it comes to hobbies, Sangchul loves going for scenic drives, doing some window-shopping, and traveling. Up until now, he has mostly traveled with the guys, but would love to find a partner to travel together with someday. As for his ideal type, he is drawn to someone petite with bright, positive energy.
As for the type of men she is drawn to, Youngsook naturally leans toward men who can take the lead. Even though she does not drive herself, she likes going on scenic drives. She usually just rides along with her dad, just taking in the view together, even without saying a single word, she finds moments like that so therapeutic.
Jungsook studied abroad in New Zealand for six months, followed by ten years in the United States, and returned to Korea after graduating from college. She is a very logical, practical person by nature, so she can come across as a bit blunt when she talks, and is not overly emotional. The main reason she bought a car was simply because of her love for travel and to be able to drive anywhere in the country on her own. She loves traveling abroad just as much, so if anyone shares that passion, she thinks they would click really well. Also, she enjoys lining up early to be first in line at popular restaurants. When she went to Shanghai, she once queued up for 6 hours for this famous lamb skewer place.
When it comes to men, Sunja is drawn to someone who has strong self-discipline, and is always striving to improve himself. She also loves someone who appreciates life's simple pleasures. As for the age gap, she used to stick to a gap of 3 to 4 years, but as long as she does not feel a big generational divide, she is pretty flexible with age.
Youngja is an active person who loves running, going on walks, and going on seasonal hikes to take in the changing scenery. She genuinely likes people, but is also very independent, so she has never really felt lonely on her own. That is how she ended up staying single for so long. But seeing her friends get married one after another, having kids, and building beautiful families, made her realize time might be slipping away. That is what brought her here to Solo Land. When meeting someone new, that initial visual impression matters a lot to her. She tends to fall for 'tofu-like' men with a soft, gentle vibe, and that youthful, boyish charm. As for herself, she is optimistic, loyal, and very self-reliant. She is ready to tie the knot, and hopes to find that special someone to leave here with as a couple.
Oksoon lived overseas from a young age and completed her bachelor's and master's degrees in the United States. And feels more at home speaking English than Korean. Now nearing the end of her 20s, she wants to date someone properly before getting married. In her line of work, it is really hard to meet men. As for the age gap, her original cutoff was 35, but as long as the man takes good care of himself, has passion, and there is a spark, age would not really matter that much.
KOTRA has overseas branches all over the world, and Hyunsook is currently working at the Seoul headquarters. There are pros and cons to her job, as she has to rotate through overseas postings. Up until recently, she spent three years working in Panama. When she was younger, she lived in Honduras for four years. So she is fluent in 3.5 languages, including Korean, English, Spanish, and Portuguese, which she has recently been studying.
