Change Days: Season 2 Episode 4 Recap - Words I Can't Say, Words I Don't Want to Say
Those who were out on a second 'Change Date' return home looking closer, which causes a rise in tension between existing partners. A mix of strange emotions eventually explodes into tears. And the women make a first date choice, and shyly request a date behind the backs of their boyfriends. On Change Days 2, where are their hearts headed?

Small misunderstandings turn into conflicts as Change Days' night goes on...
Dohyeong & Hyeyeon 'Change Date'
While Hyogi & Huihyeon already returned from their second date, Dohyeong & Hyeyeon are still out wrapping up with the yacht tour. It suddenly begins to rain, and Dohyeong tries to pull a male lead moment like Gang Dong-won in a K-drama by using a scarf to cover Hyeyeon. A ridiculous scene, LOL! What are they doing?! I mean, they both do have hoods...
In the car, she asks him, "Would you rather break up after being cheated on or get ghosted?" Despite being taken aback by the sensitive question, he says he would rather be cheated on because you can at least say goodbye before breaking up. Ouch... what is even the purpose of asking such a question other than to inflict negative emotions...
Returning late from their date, the rest of the group are already finishing up with dinner. They pass by the dining room to say a quick 'Hi' to everyone. No proper greetings to their partners who have been waiting for them all day...
Jiyu Burst Into Tears
While cooking food in the kitchen, Dohyeong and Hyeyeon are still happily talking about their date. Jiyu walked in, but quietly leaves without a word. He is treating her as if she is invisible. Like the MCs say, please care about her a bit...
While in the living room, Jiyu overhears them and can sense how close they already became after the date. What she fears most is happening right in front of her. Overcome with emotion she suddenly tears up as Huihyeon comes over. Of course, she is upset!
Jiyu returns to her room trying to hold back the tears, but Huihyeon sweetly stays with her to talk and comfort her. At this time, Dohyeong walks in and sees her crying and does not seem to know how to handle the situation. He asks why. She says, "I just suddenly got emotional." In the end, she is unable to honestly convey her feelings.
Dohyeong & Jiyu's Communication Issues
Meanwhile, the food is ready. Hyeyeon fetches Taewan to sit with her while she eats. But she leaves him standing by the table to go knock on Dohyeong's door to grab him too. Umm... Of course Taewan is irritated. He tells her to just eat with her date and leaves.
And what does Dohyeong do? He really leaves Jiyu to go have dinner with Hyeyeon! Instead of bringing food into the room to stay with her, he just asks Huihyeon for help. As Code Kunst points out, it is not the right move. "He should focus on his date during the date. But now that he's back, he should focus on his girlfriend." Very disappointing behavior...
Hyeyeon heard that Jiyu cried. But Dohyeong thinks he should still stay and eat with her. And even jokes about getting indigestion...
After dinner, he returns to the room to check on her with a beer in hand. Instead of talking out their issues, the subject oddly shifts to talking about making buldak noodles with corn cheese later. Their way of coping is to avoid any serious conversation. All of the negative feelings will keep bottling up so hopefully they will eventually face it during this journey...
Women's First 'Change Date' Choice
New Message: "Female participants will choose their 'Change Dates' for tomorrow. Choose your date and ask him out in person."
Huihyeon → Taewan
Caught off guard by the sudden date request, Taewan was smiling before realizing it. Though it has only been 2 days, she finds him funny and bubbly which is the opposite of Jeonghun.
Hyeyeon → Hyogi
Wasting no time, she pulls him aside to talk right in front of their partners. She does not know what kind of person he is yet, but chose him because his looks is closest to her ideal type.
The entire group gathers in the living room for drinks. But Jiyu and Yunseul have not asked a guy out yet, and are still waiting for the right timing...
Jiyu → Hyogi
She sees a chance when he leaves to get water. Hyogi is someone she does not know much about yet so she chose him. But since he has been already asked out, what will he do?
Yunseul → Jeonghun
Not wanting her boyfriend to see or hear, she finds the chance to speak with Jeonghun when he left for a second. She feels they are similar people and wanted to get to know him better.
Lie Detector Game
While enjoying drinks, the group plays the lie detector game.
Taewan → Hyeyeon: "I'm satisfied with the date today."
Hyeyeon says, "Yes!" But she receives an electric shock... Did she lie? Haha...
Hyeyeon → Jiyu: "I'm quite upset with Hye-yeon."
A provoking question... But Jiyu says, "No, I'm really not. I mean it." But she also receives an electric shock after the answer. She is adamant she really, really is not upset with her.
In the interview, Jiyu reveals she really does not hate her, but admits to being uncomfortable around her. While Hyeyeon says, "I didn't really care." The two are totally different in terms of personality.
'Change Date' Announcement
Then suddenly an announcement comes on the speaker... Uh-oh... The results of the ladies' choices are announced right in front of everyone! Tense...
In the end, Dohyeong is the only guy not chosen by anyone... And turns out Hyogi will go on both dates tomorrow! Yunseul comes in with the passive-aggressiveness, "You're so popular. I don't know what to say... I'm proud." Hyogi gulping down that water, he must be shaking...
Dohyeong is clearly dejected. Jiyu is not sure if he is upset because no one chose him or if it is her choice of Hyogi. She stays by his side and makes multiple attempts to talk or go out for a walk. But he just shuts her down. Their communication issues do not fall solely on Jiyu. He seems difficult to talk to. Not the type who is open to communicate either. And so their issues just keep piling up...
Photos From the Second Date
Meanwhile, Hyogi and Yunseul are arguing again outside in the living room. He wants her to focus and pay attention while he is talking seriously with her...
New Message: "You received the photos of your partner's date. Would you like to see them?"
Jeonghun sends 'YES,' and receives the photos. Huihyeon is smiling brightly as he expected making him wonder if she would be smiling like that if she was on a date with him.
The untimely message causes a misunderstanding. Yunseul checks and sends 'NO.' Despite wanting to see the photos, she knew it would only make her angry and cause a fight. Hyogi gets upset and leaves, "Have fun with your phone."
Jiyu sends 'YES,' and thinks the first 3 photos are okay. But she is triggered by the last photo of him shielding Hyeyeon from the rain. "I could see the intention so clearly," she says.
And unexpectedly, Taewan sends 'NO.' He is worried that his imaginations will become real if he saw the photos... Later, he bumps into Jiyu in the hallway. After seeing her reaction, he is now curious. "Show me! We're on the same side," he says. LOL!
Jiyu is worried they might fight about it and is hesitant to show him. But he promises he won't so she shows him. Taewan is angered by the 3rd photo, her leaning on Dohyeong's shoulder on the yacht...
Taewan & Hyeyeon Fight
At this time, Hyeyeon walks by and sees the two talking... Taewan gives her the honest truth. Gosh, he promised not to say anything, but does it right away. He tells her he saw the photo of her leaning on Dohyeong, but she adamantly denies doing it. Despite the clear evidence!
Hyeyeon is offended and thinks he is accusing her of something she did not do. While he just wants her to admit it and say sorry. Poor Jiyu, she can overhear them arguing now...
The argument continues back in their room. Taewan is still hounding Hyeyeon, but she is not responding to him at all. "Just stop it, will you?" she yells. Like Sechan points out, "It's like he is talking to a wall." She should at least answer. By ignoring him, he is only getting angrier...
This is the biggest issue between them before coming on Change Days. She will ignore him when he wants to talk, which makes him angry and emotional.
Eventually, Taewan leaves the room in frustration. With 11 days before the final selection, will they be able to resolve their communication issues?
On the next episode of Change Days, the 'Change Dates' by the ladies' choices. Huihyeon & Taewan go on a glamping date, while Hyeyeon & Hyogi go on a steamy swimming pool date!
