Pink Lie: Episode 12 Recap - Despite All (End)
Final choice D-Day! After all of the secrets are revealed, only the final choice remains for the Pinkmates. Between love and lie, can they find someone to love without prejudice?

Episode 12 - Despite All
As the 'Pink Moon' sets, the 'White Moon' rises. The truth will finally be revealed to everyone. The Pinkmates gather in the living room to learn of each other's 'true' selves...
After finding out Daon was also a former idol, Hanu said, "I guess that's why I felt a sense of kinship with her. I feel for her, too."
Dahae glances at Chansol to check his reaction... After watching it again, he said this to her, "You didn't look that charming in the video. You're more charming in real life."
Dahae was not curious and did not enter the 'Room of Truth.' In the interview, she said, "He showed me who he was and that's what matters." It is time to find out Chansol's secret...
His ex-girlfriend's parents did not think he deserved to date their daughter solely because he did not go to college. He said, "I felt insecure about it at the time. No one would acknowledge that I could become successful." RalRal reveals she recently saw him at a hair salon. He is a top hair stylist who is extremely successful and greatly respected in the field.
After learning the truth, Dahae said, "So what if he didn't go to college? He still succeeded in life... He's sure about the work he does. He's diligent, and has ambition. That's attractive in a man."
"To me... It was a huge challenge," he says while getting emotional. It was a difficult decision to choose reality over his dream. After learning the truth, Haneul felt bad for Hanu. And Daon wanted to cheer him on as a friend, hoping he can do what he wants to do.
Things did not work out no matter how hard he tried. When he was offered the job, he trusted the artistry of the show and decided to give it a try. In tears, he says, "To me, the stage is that precious." Hanui felt his struggles and could relate. "More than anyone, I felt like the pain that Taeyang felt was most similar to my own," she said.
Chansol sobs watching the video, while Seulbi also tears up... Bareum consoles them saying they are fine now and not that poor anymore. Chansol whose life was also not easy was able to empathize with how hard he had to work to get this far. And Seulbi did not know she would react so emotionally. "I was so touched," she said. "Not anyone could do what he did."
Haneul's secret is revealed for the first time. "Actually, I have a special family member. I have a 7-year-old daughter who is more precious than anyone to me," she said. A lovely child who keeps her emotionally grounded. While focusing on raising her well, she has not been able to live her own life. "When my child grows up, I might become a burden to her if I'm alone." That is why she decided to start dating again, so that her child will be happy later on, too.
The first thought that came to Hanu's mind is if she was going to be okay. "She must've been through so much," he thought. And Taeyang previously said he did not think he could be with someone who was divorced, so it gave him a lot to think about. What will be their decisions?
Hanui sheds tears once again before revealing her truth... She hid in fear for the past 6 years so how terrified she must have been. Daon and Haneul watch in tears able to understand her for how hard it must have been. Taeyang was also able to empathize, and said, "I'm sure that wasn't easy at all, but she persevered... so I'm not prejudiced." Hanu admired her courage, "I really want to comfort her right now." However, Hangyeol honestly said, "Her past occupation isn't really something I can understand. I think I'm prejudiced."
Hanu says, "You look prettier when you smile." After hearing his comforting words, she calms down... Then Dahae suddenly gets up saying there is something she has been dying to show them... And returns to show off her Chanel handbag... So awkward... Chansol tries to simmer her down, not looking too happy...
Later, Chansol privately talks to Dahae, while carefully choosing his words. He honestly tells her that her actions earlier seemed immature, and hopes she can learn to be more mindful of others. Can their differences be an issue that can be resolved?
The Pink Moon Rises
On the final night at the Pink House, the Pinkmates are allowed to send one last message to anyone they choose. Instead of rivals in love, they can send a message as a friend.
Chansol ↔ Bareum
The new lifelong bros message one another, full of admiration and respect, hoping to keep in touch after the show. Others also choose to send a message of support as a friend.
Meanwhile, the rest take this chance to convey their feelings for one last time. Seulbi thanks Hangyeol for the drawing and hopes to stay in touch. Hanui also hopes to remain friends with Hanu, and says she will respect and support his decision. And Taeyang expresses his regret about the missed timing with Haneul. Lastly, Hanu and Haneul texted each other.
As they need to make their final decisions, they cannot fall asleep easily tonight... Some are still unsure of their choice... And so the last night at the 'Pink House' draws to a close...
Final Choice D-Day
At the end of a 12-day emotional journey, it is finally time to make their final choice! Will they be able to find love as their 'true' selves?
Dahae goes to Chansol without hesitation to show that her feelings have not changed. As he was direct with her from the very start, it made her fall for him even more. And felt thankful to him for not hesitating to criticize her immature behavior. She makes a final confession, then it is his turn... Blackout... The lights come back on... He picks her too! The two are smiling from ear to ear~ A final couple! Congrats~
Next up, Hanui... To no surprise, she picks Hanu until the very end. Thanks to him, she could be honest with her feelings. "You're more amazing than you think," he says. Blackout... Once the lights return, she is left all alone in the room... He did not pick her...
Hanui 💔 Hanu
Hanu walks away with a heavy heart, and goes to Haneul. "A single mom is not a big deal if I like her as an individual." In his final confession, he says sorry for not being able to decide on a choice sooner. "I'll make sure not to confuse you in the future," he promises. Then another knock on the door... Here comes Taeyang! He meant everything he said to her yesterday and hopes they can be together. In the end, she chooses neither of them and walks away...
In an unexpected choice, Haneul picks Hangyeol! Even he is flustered to see her... She says, "I chose the person whom I wanted to get to know more in the future." The door opens again, and Daon walks in to confess. "I'm so grateful... So I'd like to repay you for what you've done for me." His biggest regret was failing to recognize her feelings at the start... Then in another unexpected twist, Hangyeol leaves the room, choosing neither of them...
"Instead of sincere feelings, I felt like Daon just wanted to befriend me," Hangyeol said. So in the end, he wanted to make a choice he won't regret and goes to Seulbi. He had a change of heart and felt the sincerity from her text yesterday. But then here comes Bareum... "I realized that we could match each other's pace. I want to get to know you more," he confesses. In the end, Seulbi picks Bareum, who has always been unconditional~ "I realized that I had feelings for you too," she says. "I hope to continue meeting you in the future."
