Change Days: Season 2 Episode 10 Recap - Unsolved Problems
Facing reality that has been ignored, tears are shed during the 'Original Couple Date.' And a new KakaoTalk message rings in the quiet Change House... A '2 Days/1 Night Change Date!' Who will be matched to go on this overnight date?

Original Couple Date
At the halfway point, the original couples go on a date to talk and try to work out their issues, but it was off to a shaky start. Hyogi & Yunseul couple have completely opposite views, while Hyeyeon suddenly left in the middle of the date when Taewan got real with her.
The 'Original Couple Date' continues with the other two couples...
Jeonghun & Huihyeon Original Couple Date
When talking about how the dates have been, Huihyeon honestly tells Jeonghun that she felt heart flutters during her glamping date with Taewan. While he can work on planning more fun dates for her, he feels his military enlistment is a problem that is not solvable. She is worried about stability after his service, and is not sure she can provide for him the same way she did in the past. A realistic concern as she is considering marriage within 2 years.
But the choice should not fall solely on her whether or not to wait for him. She points out, "It's not just my problem, but our problem." and wants to hear his thoughts. Initially thinking that it can be solved if she just agreed to wait, he now realizes that he needs to be 100% certain he can give her his all. As breaking up later after all the waiting would be even more horrible. He sadly tells her, "I thought breaking up with you might be the last thing I can do for you."
Faced with reality, she sheds tears. "I feel lost," she says. "I want you to tell me that you want me to wait only when you're sure you can do that." Otherwise, she would rather hear him ask for a breakup to not make things harder for them. As there is still some time left, he promises to figure it out. "But if I ask you to wait for me, I want you to really mean it if you say yes."
Dohyeong & Jiyu Original Couple Date
Their couple date starts off with silence. Over lunch, both of them wants to talk, but nobody is willing to take the first step...
At the next location, Jiyu gulps down the glass of wine to help her talk more freely. Dohyeong thinks they have made improvements on this trip, but she thinks otherwise. She is feeling the pressure and burden of not being able to initiate the talks herself. But he misunderstands her words and gets all defensive thinking she is accusing him of forcing her to talk. That all of the talks have been a burden. Missing her point completely, he gets frustrated with her...
Turns out they were not like this 3 years ago as they were able to talk. She honestly tells him she was not happy back then, which is why she ghosted him. She tears up feeling the guilt of what she did. When she did openly share her feelings back then, he was too busy for her. So she gradually closed herself off thinking she was getting in his way. Rather than getting down to the reasons for why she left him, he nitpicks her words and argues how she technically did not break up with him. Focusing on how hurt he was because of what she did. Unwilling to let go and forgive, he still holds this against her. Which is why she feels nervous around him and is constantly walking on eggshells... She breaks down into tears...
Changing the topic, she finally musters up the courage to ask him about Hyeyeon. He enjoys talking to her and feels comfortable around her. Like a friend, he says. But she is bothered by the fact he is curious about her and asked her out again. Openly expressing how she feels. A small step of progress, but the two are still skirting around the root cause of their issues.
At the Change House
Meanwhile, there is a glimmer of hope for Hyogi-Yunseul and Taewan-Hyeyeon couples who showed intense conflict during their dates. Back at the house, Hyogi and Yunseul are able to share a much calmer conversation. Expressing love and hate, they show a willingness to not give up and work on their relationship. While she wants him to work on his mood swings and controlling his anger, he wants her to not take him for granted. To express affection and show a response when he does do something nice for her.
After leaving Taewan, Hyeyeon returns home alone and goes out for a walk to help organize her thoughts. Reflecting on her actions, she feels disappointed in herself. He honestly shared what he has been holding back, but she ended up avoiding the conversation again. And later back in their room, she apologizes to him. Still emotional, he says to her, "Even if you end up with someone else, I just want you to be happy." And she is in tears, "I was horrible. Because of my stupid ego, I put you through so much pain."
The four couples managed to share some of their deepest thoughts with each other. Will they be able to salvage their relationship by the end of this trip?
Overnight Change Date
The morning is off to a good start for Hyogi and Yunseul when he surprises her with a sweet Valentines Day gift. She is touched and enthusiastically shows a big reaction. "Hug me," she says. The couple is looking so sweet~
And when the day feels surprisingly calm, a new KakaoTalk message arrives to stir things up again. "Send the name of the person you'd like to go on a '2 Days/1 Night Change Date' with. Only those who choose each other will be matched to go on a date."
