Love Catcher in Seoul: Episode 1 Recap & Cast Information (Part 1)
A 3rd season of the captivating love psychology game returns as Love Catcher in Seoul. Among the attractive men and women are love catchers, who are here purely for love. And money catchers whose purpose is not love, but to win the prize money. If two love catchers becomes a couple, they will find true love. If a money catcher and love catcher becomes a couple, only the money catcher will win a prize of 50 million won. And if two money catchers becomes a couple, they will lose both love and prize money. Will they be able to find true love hidden in lies?

Love Catcher in Seoul: The First Meeting
Prior to the first meeting, the profiles of the catchers are revealed consisting of 5 men and 4 women. An uneven number this season... hmm... But first, let's meet the catchers!
The 1st to arrive is Jung Soo-won (정수원), who describes himself as a man of intelligence and beauty. If there is someone he likes, he will fight for it.
Soowon personally thinks he does have high standards. In terms of appearance, his ideal type is someone with double eyelids, a high nose bridge, and tall (167/168 cm or above).
The 2nd to arrive is Lee Ha-neul (이하늘). It has been a while since she was in a relationship, so she is hoping to meet someone who will be a good fit. Haneul thinks of herself as a 'pabo' (a fool), one who cannot get angry and often cries.
As someone who has never fallen in love at first sight, she is the type who falls in love after a guy actively shows interest and pursues. So she wants someone who can lead her.
The 3rd cast member is Lee In-seong (이인성). She may seem calm and quiet on the outside, but describes her personality as energetic and bubbly.
Not shy at all, Inseong actively starts a conversation asking about their hobbies. She reveals she was born in the US, came to Korea at age 6, attended international schools, and then returned to the US for college. Since she has lived abroad, she is quite "open-minded."
The 4th is Ahn Ji-min (안지민), who thinks his charm is his straightforwardness. Since a long time ago, he believes his ideal type is a girl who is just like him. Fun and enjoyable "tiki-taka" chemistry.
The 5th cast member is Seo Jae-hyung (서재형), who flashily shows up in a Porsche. As a fan of supercars, collecting cars is his hobby. Living life without any worries about money. The disadvantage? "Somewhat too popular?" And apparently, there has never been a time where he was not able to date someone he chased after...
Like the panelists react with surprise, who is this guy??? hahaha...
Talking about the profiles they got a sneak peek of, they figure out that there will only be 9 people instead of 10. This is confirmed with only 9 seats at the bar.
A new rule is also introduced this season... Except for their own name, money catchers can lie about their personal info (age, job, etc. can be fake). But of course, they can also choose to not lie. This new rule gives an added twist, and can possibly make things interesting...
The 6th to arrive is Yang Ji-min (양지민), who shares a same name with the guy Jimin. During the interview, she expresses a strong desire to get married. A goal since she was young. She wants to find a husband who is considerate, polite, and loves children.
The 7th is Yoon Jung-woo (윤정우), who thinks of himself as quite honest and just wants to show himself. He does not want to show others a decorated dressed up appearance, so he will act comfortably.
As someone who has learned physiognomy, he sees a perspective that is different from others. He likes a rounder facial shape with pretty cheekbones, which gives a feeling of a much more obvious and bright smile.
The 8th is Kang Won-jae (강원재), who is a physical education major at Inha University.
After taking a seat, Haneul takes a peek and thinks he looks familiar... As the panelists reveal, he previously appeared on the popular program Steel Troops (SDT unit).
The 9th and last cast member is Lee Yeo-min (이여민), who feels the first impression she gives off to others can be a bit intense. As she is not someone who goes unnoticed at a place, she thinks she will be able to attract some attention during the first meeting.
A sealed envelope was handed to Yeomin upon arrival so she opens it and reads it out to everyone. The mission is to go to the accommodations tomorrow with a person who you are interested in. The guys will have to go pick up the girls, and head to the house together. As there is an uneven number, somebody is bound to be left out...
The conversations start freely over food and drinks (though age and jobs cannot be revealed yet). The men take seats at different tables (max 3 seats per table), while the women choose next. Inseong and Jimin sits down together at Jungwoo's table. Yeomin picks Soowon's table, while Haneul joins Jimin and Wonjae's table.
Jaehyun is sadly left sitting all alone, but this is his concept and things are going according to plan. He is the type who likes to observe first, then start a convo after there is some interest. But Yeomin notices him by himself, and sweetly asks him to join them.
The cast members bond over shared interests and hobbies. After the first meeting to get to know one another, the 9 catchers return home for the night.
