Love Catcher in Seoul: Episode 4 Recap (Part 1)
On this episode of Love Catcher in Seoul, the couples will compete in a dance challenge for a chance to enter the 'Secret Room.' And will the current love lines all be revealed?
Rainy Day at the Love Mansion
Our baby Jimin is up early, excitedly applying makeup for an 8:30am appointment. As it turns out, Yeomin suggested the two Jimins prepare breakfast together. Nice assist!
Girl Jimin cutely runs over to the kitchen to help guy Jimin make seaweed soup for breakfast. She just learned the recipe and insists on adding sesame oil for the soup to be tasty, but they cannot find any. A sad face after he mentions how Dana told him not to add any. But he finds the sesame oil and adds it. She cannot hide her smile~
Yeomin joins for breakfast, giggles, and says, "I feel like I'm at a newlyweds' housewarming." Nice comment! Girl working hard to make the Jimin-Jimin ship sail.
After breakfast, Haneul asks Jungwoo if he had fun on his date last night. Suddenly feeling a bit thirsty, he avoids the question and gets up to get a cup of water. "Did you enjoy the date?" Inseong asks. He says it felt like he briefly deviated. Yeomin adds how it was nice to see the night view after a long time. "Buleobda... buleobda," Inseong cutely expresses envy.
Everyone returns to the rooms where jazz music is blasting from an LP player. An address is given for today's challenge mission. A jazz bar? Dancing?
Wonjae, Haneul, & Inseong's Car
The 3 depart in one car together. Haneul is curious about what was revealed last night during the truth game while away. So Wonjae suggests a simple mini game with lighter questions.
Haneul's Question: After placing (the heart coin) at the start, have you changed it? Or going to change? Inseong reveals she was more sure at the beginning, but is now really confused. Wonjae says it may change today depending on who you do the challenge with.
Inseong asks Haneul the same thing, who says she has not changed. Though she has given it a lot of thought, she does not know her heart yet so just left it. Having thoughts of to whom she can even express interest to now. Adding perhaps it may change...
Wonjae → Haneul: For 1st impression (not now) when 9 people first gathered, who was the 2nd person she was interested in? She responds Jimin oppa.
Soowon, Ahn Jimin, & Yeomin's Car
Another fun convo in this car with Yeomin telling Jimin he needs to be a bit more proactive in expressing his interest. At least to the point where the other person can feel it says Soowon. They think it can be a bit frustrating if the person does not even know. To the person who he wants to get to know, Jimin says he has tried to take care of her from behind. And shares he talked with Haneul a lot yesterday, but got tired and took a rest on the same bed. Whoa...
Jimin is curious saying how Soowon knows his heart... Soowon says the person knows and that he has made it obvious. Jimin then asks if that person also has feelings for him to which Soowon replies there seems to be. But even if there isn't, he will still actively pursue.
Blind Choice Couple Dance Challenge
They arrive at the designated location where a pair of pro dancers are performing. Most are taken aback by the sudden dance challenge. It will not be easy today.
Dancesports master Park Ji-eun comes out to introduce herself. The challenge today: Blind Choice Couple Dance. Each pair will have to perform the dance they just watched. Everyone is in shock, but Yeomin is feeling confident. Thinks she will take 1st place today. The couple dance challenge first point is to not let go of each other's hands. And the second point is to connect and focus with your partner.
The women have to cover their eyes with a blindfold and choose a partner based on sense of touch, only the hands! Number on the blindfold determines the order.
Haneul is up first, blindfolded. The guys change up their current standing order. Feeling a bit nervous, she touches the hands of Jungwoo and then Jaehyung. Next is Soowon who wants to be chosen, grasps her hands tightly. She got the signal, skips the rest, and picks him. His face and neck is flushed, turned bright red!
1st Couple: Jung Soowon & Lee Haneul
Girl Jimin goes 2nd, and touches the hands of guy Jimin (who is in spot #1) for a while. But moves on to touch the hands of the remaining guys too. In the end, she does not have a clue and picks the last person. It is Jungwoo. A shame since she had hoped for Jimin oppa.
2nd Couple: Yoon Jungwoo & Yang Jimin
Inseong is 3rd. After touching each guys' hands briefly, she goes back to the 1st one. "I'll just go with this person." Seems like she lost a bit of motivation since Jungwoo is already taken.
3rd Couple: Ahn Jimin & Lee Inseong
Dana goes 4th. Only Wonjae and Jaehyung left, and both are interested in her. After barely touching the hands of the 1st guy, she just picks him right away. Haha... poor Jaehyung!
4th Couple: Kang Wonjae & Jung Dana
By default, the 5th Couple: Seo Jaehyung & Lee Yeomin
Without consideration for his partner, Jaehyung goes up to the stage alone first. Yes, please take care of our Yeomin too.
Aside from Soowon and Haneul, all new pairings! The mission is to learn the couple dance, and to make a new ending pose. The more creative, the closer to 1st place!
Couple Dance Practice
First, just practice holding hands. The purpose is to feel each other's breathing, and to let the other person know you are paying attention. Trying to overcome all the shyness, each couple practices the dance routine.
Wonjae and Dana's practice goes smoothly, as he tells her to trust and rely on him. Despite being much younger, it did not quite feel that way as imagined she says. As for how Wonjae feels? Every time their eyes meet, the feeling of meeting his ideal type. Heart fluttering~
Jaehyung and Yeomin are determined, coming up with an impactful ending pose.
Guy Jimin feels competitive and suggests to Inseong about doing something similar. She is receptive and tries to follow along. A lot of hugging here, she suddenly feels hot. Meanwhile, Jungwoo and girl Jimin cannot keep their eyes off of them. Jungwoo looking mighty jealous! For the ending pose, Inseong suggests adding a kiss. Okay, Jimin says, does not matter with him of course! Jimin-Jungwoo overhear, shocked, she gasps and he lets out a deep sigh...
Looks like Jungwoo and Jimin have no intention of getting up and practicing. They just keep watching the dance video to learn, but mostly more concerned about Jimin and Inseong. We all know girl Jimin has a crush on guy Jimin, but what is up with Jungwoo?? He did just take out his heart coin from Inseong's locker and moved it to Dana's last night.
Over with Soowon and Haneul, he actively proposes ideas for the ending pose. She seems a bit hesitant to fully rely and lean on him though. Full of passion, wanting to take 1st place, he suggests spinning her around. "Who's responsible for my motion sickness?" she jokes. Then he suggests lifting her, but she rejects again. "Crazy, can't do it... Nope, nope!" Miyeon says, it feels like she is keeping a distance, not accepting. All of his ideas are shot down right away without even trying. He feels a bit frustrated because of her reaction, a deep sigh...
Meanwhile, a good atmosphere between the Wonjae and Dana couple. She cutely suggests doing something like La La Land, or to spin her around. Soowon takes notice on how the two are happily and actively trying, quite a contrast. She suggests he leans back on her, but she is unable to hold his weight. Oops, sorry. Wonjae falls to the floor, but with quick sense starts doing push-ups. Back to practice, he attempts a lift. Intense eye contact, and giggles!
